Finally Back to the Blog

It has been way too long since I have written an update for the blog.  Sorry about that.  Falcon is almost 22 months old, and computer work is a challenging thing to get done with him always wanting to be involved in what I am doing, so needless to say, blog writing has taken a back burner.   
Many of you will already know much of what we have been up to over the past year and a bit, but some of you may not, and I thought that either way I would write up some quick summary notes and post some pictures.  Most of the pictures are of Falcon, as he is the love of our lives.  
Lucky for us, given that we live in Ocean Falls where it rains a lot, Falcon enjoys being out in the rain.
   

And he really enjoys climbing into and onto things, perhaps just to see if he can fit.

 And, because of his love of climbing, we built him a climbing wall, on which he has gotten quite proficient.

Falcon also likes to get involved in the work that we are doing, and he is a great little helper.

 
 
And because Jason and I love to cook, Falcon is quickly learning how to be a helper in the kitchen.



The next few blog posts will be to bring you up to speed on some of the projects we have been engaged in over the past year, and we plan to be in Mexico on the Red Witch for the winter, so I will try to keep you updated from there when we have internet.

    Oh so good to see pictures of Falcon. He has definitely grown into a sweet young boy. Glade you are back to your blog. Always nice to get your updates. I'm still working with Quadrant and we have a full Level 1 class this year (15 students). Take good care.

    Your little man is so.o.o cute & adorable! So happy to see you are keeping him very active! Little boys with all that testosterone surging need lots of physical activity, as you may know! And it takes 2 years after having a baby for a woman’s body to get back to normal. You’ve created a beautiful family & life together. I love your blog posts! I’ve been busy with work & our house is up for sale. The next chapter awaits! Lots of ❤️ to you, Jason & Falcon. Stay safe. 🫶

    So glad you are writing your blog. Martin shares the pictures you send him but I also love to hear what is new in your life. Like the new wood shed. Falcon is at such a great age to go exploring and learning about his environment. Have Fun!❤️

A Fantastic Birthday

September 9th (Wednesday) Our first day off after our 8-day shift, and it was also my birthday.  I enjoyed what felt like a nice long sleep-in as compared to getting up at 05:45 for work, and then Jason gave me my birthday presents and made me a delicious brunch of blueberry pancakes, bacon, and sausages.  Then we were off to the lake.  It was a beautiful, sunny day and glassy calm as we planed our way along the lake.  We went down to the south end to check it out and explore, as we had never been down to that end before.   As the sun got hotter we wanted to enjoy it, and to go swimming, so we headed to our perfect picnic and swimming area of Triple Falls.  There we enjoyed a fantastic afternoon of relaxing and swimming.  The water felt quite a bit cooler than it had the last time that we were there, so our refreshing swims were brief. One time, as I was coming out of the water, I saw a bumblebee struggling on the surface....

First Things First

November 25, 2024  Our first priority in La Paz was to order our new solar panels.   We had priced them out and sourced them at different locations before getting here, but we were unable to pre-order them before going into the store to pay for them.   Once they were ordered we focused on other things on our to do list, which included getting Falcon to the beachside playground.   He did so well on the slides, and got to go on a "big kid" swing for the first time, and he loves to swing.   We also went for several walks around areas that we knew from the last time that we were here.   One of these included a walk past the Airbnb where Falcon was born.   Almost everyday we visited the El Magote beach, which we knew so well from many long walks previously.
