Some Time in Victoria

May 4 - 20, 2023
After getting back to British Columbia again from our time in Nova Scotia, Jason took a two-week Occupational First Aid Level 3 course.  While he was hard at work going to classes all day and studying in the evenings, my mom, Falcon, and I went on many long shopping trips to some of the big grocery stores like Costco, Walmart, and The Canadian Superstore.
We also ended up going to several hardware and parts stores such as Princess Auto, Canadian Tire, Home Hardware, and Lordco to gather the many parts and accessories that Jason and I would need to complete some of the work that we wanted to do when we returned to our house in Ocean Falls.
As my list of things to buy got shorter and shorter, the pile in my parents' living room got bigger and bigger.  When Jason and I are in Ocean Falls the only option of places for us to order groceries from is Save On Foods in Port Hardy, and on top of the grocery price we pay an additional 50 cents per pound for shipping, so the more that we can bring in to Ocean Falls in our truck the better, especially with heavy items such as canned food, flour, rice, and dried beans.
Even though there were many shopping trips, my parents and I also went on many walks with Falcon,
enjoyed some beach picnics, and we took Falcon to the public swimming pool.
He seemed to love the pool, and he especially enjoyed getting to float around in his life jacket, free to kick and splash as much as he wanted.
It was fun to watch.
