Sunday Off and Work on Monday

(Sheya's mom writing: Again, it seems that yesterday's post did not send the pictures. To view the pictures, when, and if this continues to happen, go to the actual web site of https://svredwitch.blogspot.com and hopefully you will be able to view them there. It is also from there, at the bottom of the post, that you can make comments to Sheya, if you wish to.)

March1st – 2nd (Sunday and Monday)

On Sunday we took the day off of work, and had a nice day at home. We spent a long time on Spanish, as we are struggling with the past and future tenses. There are so many ways in which a verb can change depending on its usage, for example, for the verb “to talk” there seems to be seventeen ways in which the word can change depending on how it is used. It makes it quite the brain overload to try to keep them all straight.
In the afternoon the rain started to try to change to snow, and a layer of slush accumulated on the dock. By evening the trees across the channel were white all the way down to the water, and although our dock was also white, it was very wet. Overnight the snow changed to rain, and by morning the slush was mostly all gone.
On Monday, we spent the day at work, and made some good progress on the bathroom and the first bedroom.
Sanding a scraper.

The bathroom was a nightmare for Jason as the grey layer of paint was so poorly adhered, that even when he seemed to find a solid edge, as soon as he started to sand it, it continued to flake off, and he had to scrape the whole layer almost completely off of the whole bathroom.
Ceiling in the bathroom.

Wall in the bathroom.

On our walk home after work, we noticed a large patch of springtime flowers coming up in the shrubs along the side of the road.

It was a stormy night with pelting rain, and howling wind from the southwest. We made burgers for dinner to have on our fresh buns from yesterday. While for lunch we had had crab sandwiches on the fresh buns. Yummy, what a delicious lunch it was.

  1. The flowers look great in comparison to the bathroom ceiling and wall. Happy prepping for paint!
